Friends of the Arts

If you have a passion for the arts at Providence Day School and want to show your support for our incredibly talented students and faculty, we invite you to join Friends of the Arts!

This Parents’ Association group provides volunteer support to the Performing and Visual Arts departments. Everyone is welcome to join - including parents, faculty, alumni, and grandparents! There is no membership fee.

Performing Arts

Music

Choral, Strings and Band. Welcome guests as a Friends of the Arts usher at select musical concerts.

Theatre

Be part of the Friends of the Arts behind-the-scenes crew! Volunteers sell concessions,  distribute tickets, serve as ushers, decorate the lobby, offer production photographs for purchase,  sell production T-shirts, coordinate production parties, and much more!

Visual Arts

Providence Day School’s Performing Arts Department has announced a great lineup of shows for the 2023-24 school year.

All performances are free and will take place in the McMahon Fine Arts Center theater.

• August 23-24: Upper School Fall One Act Auditions

• Oct. 20-22: Radium Girls (Upper School play)

• Nov. 3-4: How I Became a Pirate (Lower School musical)

• Nov. 27-30:  Upper School Musical Auditions

• Dec. 4: Middle School/Upper School Choral Concert

• Dec. 5: Middle School/Upper School Orchestra Concert

• Dec. 7: Middle School/Upper School Band Concert

• Dec. 13: 5th Band/Choral/Orchestra (tentative)

• Feb. 8-10: Finding Nemo, Jr. (Middle School musical)

• Apr. 11-13: Freaky Friday (Upper School musical)

• Apr 24: Upper School Choral & A Cappella Concert

• Apr 25: Upper School Band & Orchestra Concert 

• May 6: Middle School Choral & A Cappella Concert

• May 7: Middle School Orchestra Concert

• May 9: Middle School Band Concert

• May 23: 5th Band/Choral/Orchestra Concert (tentative)
