Nineteen Providence Day student-athletes earn NCISAA All-State honors

Of the 43 Providence Day student-athletes recently selected for the CISAA All-Conference team, 19 of those individuals also earned or were selected to the NCISAA All-State team. Additional, sophomore cross country runner Christian Landis was also selected as the CISAA Runner of the Year as well as finishing in first place at the NCISAA state championship race earning state champion honors. Even more impressive, Christian was named the NCISAA TFCCCA 4A Male "Athlete of the Year."

Boys Cross Country wins the WNC Cross Country Carnival

Varsity Cross Country headed to the mountains for the 9th straight year to kick off the season at the WNC Cross Country Carnival at Jackson Park in Hendersonville also the site of this years NCISAA Championship. The 2018 Fall sports season officially begins on Thursday, August 16, when the Charger Soccer team takes on the Greenies of Christ School here at Overcash Stadium. Game time is 4:00 PM. On Friday night at 7:00 PM, Football has its home opener against Trinity Christian School and Saturday afternoon, Charger Volleyball will be in the MAC at 2:00 against Wake Christian Academy. The Providence Day Girls came out of the starting blocks a bit slow on Friday down over 100 points but rallied strong on day two and took home the conference championship by 30 points.
