Endowment

The Providence Day endowment comprises a collection of funds, both unrestricted and restricted, that supplement and support the exceptional educational experiences offered to our students and faculty in perpetuity

While the principal of the endowment is kept intact, a portion of interest income is utilized to provide academic programming, fund scholarships, afford impactful professional development opportunities, and maintain facilities. Philanthropic contributions to the endowment help to build and secure a legacy for future generations of Charger students and faculty.

For more information on giving to Providence Day, or to discuss making a gift to the school’s endowment, please contact Jeff Appel, Associate Head of School for Institutional Advancement, at 704-887-6038.

Restricted Funds

Throughout the School’s history, endowed funds have been established for specific purposes that benefit Providence Day School students and faculty. The funds use only the annual earnings from their principal value.

Naming Opportunities

Providence Day School’s policy for creating a named endowment fund requires a minimum gift of $100,000. Smaller gifts are of course welcomed and will be added to an appropriate previously established endowment fund. Any person interested in establishing a permanent endowment fund should contact the Office of Institutional Advancement.
