The mission of the Annual Fund is to help PD provide a transformative educational experience for our students while limiting our reliance on tuition. Gifts to the Annual Fund are used in the current school year and provide unrestricted, immediate support of our operating budget.
The PD Annual Fund is a community effort as it has been throughout the school’s history. Every year, we receive gifts from alumni, current families, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends. Through tax-deductible gifts to the Annual Fund, the generosity of all our donors helps keep tuition costs more affordable and ensures PD maintains our standard of academic excellence for generations to come.
Donors may choose to designate their Annual Fund gift to one of our Family of Funds that is most meaningful to them:
PD’s Greatest Need - These gifts help to provide classroom resources and technology, student field trips, global studies programming and academic budgets among other priorities. If donors choose to not designate their gift, the money will be used in the area of the operating budget where it is needed most.
Faculty Support and Professional Development - These funds will help recruit and retain the very best teachers and provide them with opportunities to continually expand their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and, in turn, enhance the educational experiences of our students.
Student Financial Assistance - Gifts support Providence Day’s commitment to attract talented, motivated students who have a passion for learning. These funds enable the school to provide financial assistance to qualified families who would otherwise not be able to be part of our community and ensure these students can benefit from a PD education and share their talents with our learning community.
Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging - Gifts support Providence Day’s vision of a learning community rich in diversity of perspectives, talents, and identities in which every member truly feels they belong. Your gift will help to sustain the Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and will help to provide support for community-wide continuing education, curriculum development, professional development, and programming that educates and celebrates the richness of our PD family.
Health and Wellness - Gifts are an investment in Providence Day’s continued commitment to fostering an environment of wellbeing for our students, faculty, and staff. Gifts help to sustain and grow student academic support resources and enhance programming for student mental health and wellness.
Student Innovation - Gifts support programming and infrastructure to empower our students in their entrepreneurial pursuits and as they design solutions for local and global issues.
The Arts - Every student at Providence Day has the opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves through our rich visual and performing arts programs. Your gift will help to provide curriculum resources, materials, and instruments.
Athletics - Our robust athletics programming offers students the opportunity to be part of a team while growing in personal physical fitness and character. Your gift will support our coaches and trainers, equipment, transportation costs and the upkeep of our athletic facilities and fields.
The Annual Fund Family of Funds supports our students and faculty in the current academic year through the school's operating budget. Should designated contributions exceed a designation's budgeted need, the school will direct contributions to the area of greatest need.
