The MAC is home to our Athletic Department as well as 65 teams, and over 1,000 student-athletes practice and condition here every day.
Overcash Stadium (2012)
Overcash Stadium has a synthetic turf field (Mosack Field) that includes a regulation 8-lane track (Compton Track) and areas for discus, shot put, high jump, long jump, triple jump and pole vault. The field is used for daily practices and games for football, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, field hockey and physical education classes.
The Field House encompasses 8,500 sq. ft. of floor space with meeting rooms, locker rooms, a weight room, restrooms and the Nix Family Press Box. The bleachers seat 1,500 spectators. The storage area under the bleachers also houses our newly installed batting cage (purchased by the Charger Club in May, 2013) for use by our baseball, softball, and golf teams.
The Sports Weight Room, located in the Field House, provides programs for all components of athletic performance. This includes a full inventory of speed, agility, and strength equipment that is primarily used by our athletic teams.
Ridenhour Gymnasium (1972)
The Ridenhour Gymnasium, dedicated in 1983, is used for Lower School physical education classes and still serves as a practice and game facility for Charger basketball and wrestling. The senior lounge, nurses' office, physical education teachers, and basketball and lacrosse program heads all office in the Ridenhour Gymnasium. Beginning in June, 2014, the building will experience a considerable renovation creating a wrestling room and practice areas for both our cheerleading and dance teams.
