Dr. Glyn Cowlishaw, Head of School, and Dr. Loren Fauchier, Globel Education executive director, are visiting a partner school in Africa this week.

Dr. Cowlishaw and Dr. Fauchier are visiting Halifield School, a private, co-educational day and boarding school in Lagos, Nigeria, Sept. 25-28.

The purpose of the visit is to not only strengthen PDS’s relationship with Halifield, but to present on “Leading Change” during a workshop for fellow educators Sept. 26. The workshop’s goal is to provide participants with insights into innovative practices necessary to lead successful schools and classrooms in the ever-changing landscape of 21st century education.

Dr. Cowlishaw’s and Dr. Fauchier’s presentations will focus on PDS’s TK through 12th grade global curricular framework, dubbed the “PD Passport.” The framework includes providing students with the necessary knowledge, essential skills and character dispositions to become successful global citizens.

The relationship between PDS and Halifield will offer opportunities for student and faculty exchanges to foster global awareness and connections.
