IDEAS in Middle School

IDEAS acronym spelled out with related brand colors: Innovation-Design-Entrepreneurship-Analytics-Sustainability

At Providence Day, innovation goes far beyond the use of technology: it is woven into every aspect of teaching and learning. IDEAS at PD offers students the chance to explore and expand their passions and curiosities around innovation, design, entrepreneurship, analytics, and sustainability. This unique program invites faculty and students to work collaboratively across boundaries and at the intersections of traditional disciplines and departments.

Middle School students continue to utilize the IDEASxChange, a creative multi-use space in the Dickson-Hemby Technology Center, developing their ideas using 3D printing, robotics, laser cutting, or other hands-on problem-solving methods. Students also have access to state-of-the-art technology, including rescue-simulation drones and virtual reality headsets that allow for immersive classroom experiences.
