Global Education in Middle School

Middle School students in Greece on an educational trip in June 2024

Visiting ancient historic sites during a summer 2024 Global Educational Trip to Greece allowed Middle School students to explore how mythology, archaeology, and philosophy continue to shape the world. They gained an understanding of the world we live in today, and how to talk about history in creative ways while considering their relationship with ancient ideas.

Our Global TK–12 Framework

At Providence Day School, we intentionally create experiences that foster intercultural learning inside and outside the classroom. Knowing the world is increasingly interconnected and ever-changing, we purposefully develop opportunities for our students to become empathetic, informed, and empowered global citizens.

As a school with a global emphasis, our curriculum is infused with a global perspective across disciplines. Students may take advantage of opportunities for world travel including a Middle School conference with Round Square International. Adding to the Mandarin Chinese, French, and Spanish introduced in Lower School, students may also choose from Latin and German as they continue their studies in Middle School.
