Wonder and Awareness
Global education begins with curiosity! In the Lower School, students begin their global education journey by exploring cultures, traditions, languages, and perspectives beyond their own experiences. Through hands-on learning, storytelling, language study, music, art, and meaningful connections with others, students develop the curiosity and empathy that form the foundation of global citizenship.
INWARD: Students learn about themselves and their own communities.
OUTWARD: Students explore cultures, languages, and traditions around the world.
FORWARD: Students begin developing the empathy, curiosity, and confidence needed to engage with an interconnected world.

Global Education begins in the Lower School and grows throughout a student's time at Providence Day. Knowing the world is interconnected and ever-changing, we purposefully develop opportunities for our students to become empathetic, informed, and empowered global beings.
Through language study, cultural exploration, and age-appropriate global experiences, students build the foundation for the deeper inquiry, engagement, and leadership opportunities they will encounter in Middle and Upper School.
