Providence Day School Endowment Fund is a collection of funds (unrestricted and restricted) established to support students, faculty, staff and programs.
Gifts to endowment support the long-term sustainability of the school. While the principal is kept intact, a portion of interest income is utilized to support operations each year. This makes the endowment an additional source of income for the school along with the Annual Fund, tuition and auxiliary services. Continued endowment growth helps the school maintain reasonable tuition levels while continuing to provide excellent programs and exceptional faculty and staff. The endowment allocation illustrated above is based on Providence Day School's current endowment management policies. Allocation is based upon four percent of a trailing twelve-quarter average of the endowment's total asset value.
*Unrestricted dollars are allocated by the Board of Trustees on an annual basis.
