Extended Day
The Extended Day Program, a nationally recognized after-school program, provides an enriching experience for the Lower School students of Providence Day School through teachers who actively promote the social, emotional and physical development of each child through nurturing relationships, flexible scheduling and choices that reflects each child’s individual needs, interests and abilities.
The program opens after school, on teacher workdays and most school holidays with activity choices that range from art, cooking, gardening, sewing and sports as well as over 20 weekly enrichment programs in the following three areas: STEM, the arts (visual and performing) and athletics (group and individual).
Our teachers strive to provide each student with enriching afternoons to enhance and round out each child’s overall experience as a Providence Day School student.
The Extended Day Program operates out of the Levin Family Extended Day House, a charming dedicated space enhanced by a garden and playground in the back yard. Students may attend on a drop-in basis or sign up to attend five days a week throughout the school year.
