Dear Providence Day family:
I hope this email finds you well.
The mission of the Parents' Association, first and foremost, is to support the Providence Day community, and by extension to support PD's mission. That mission emphasizes social responsibility, and we find our community wants to answer that call more than ever. We, as parents, need and want to help, and we also know there are huge needs in Charlotte.
We are aware that access to food for many in Charlotte is great and urgent. Therefore, we have decided to organize a fundraising campaign to benefit Loaves & Fishes as a way to give back to our larger community.
Our campaign launches today, with the goal to raise at least $25,000. At PD, we have 1,100 families. If just 50 percent of our families are able to generously donate $100, we can exceed our goal. Loaves & Fishes is now serving triple the number of families they were serving before the current crisis, and their donation warehouse is empty. They report that $33 is enough to feed a family of four for a week. The thought that $33 can fill up a family's pantry puts the need in perspective. Any amount would be welcome. Please click here to give, and act now. We will be collecting through midnight this Thursday.
We are all in this together, and together we can bring some light to the families who are living in desperate situations.
Many, many thanks from my heart,
Dima Daher President, Providence Day Parents' Association
