Providence Day is well represented in NCISAA All-State and CISAA All-Conference football selections

The NCISAA recently announced their selections for the 2020 All-State team. The Chargers had five first team, five second team, and three Honoral Mention selections. New Mask requirements beginning Wednesday, November 25 for ALL schools

Governor Cooper’s Executive Order No. 180 applies to independent/private schools: "In all public schools …, and all nonpublic schools covered by Article 39 of Chapter 115C of the General Statutes, all workers, teachers, guests, adults, and children five (5) years or older must wear face coverings when outdoors and within 6 feet of another person AND when indoors at all times even when competing in an athletic event. Providence Day announces new head coach for the varsity girls’ lacrosse team

PD's Director of Athletics Nancy Beatty recently announced the hiring of Nicole Stiles Donoghue as the Chargers new head coach for the varsity girls’ lacrosse team. Donoghue graduated from Lake Norman HS in 2009 and played collegiately at James Madison University graduating in 2013 with a BS in Justice Studies. Since graduating from JMU, she has held a number of coaching positions including assistant coach at Lake Norman HS where she helped lead the team to the 2015 state championship. Read more...
