Yesterday, the NCISAA announced their latest plans for playing sports this coming Fall season. Although dates are subject to change, August 10th has been established as the date for all member schools to move into full practice mode with low and moderate sports eligible to begin contests on August 31 and football to be postponed to at least September 4. Unlike the NCHSAA, Providence Day School and the NCISAA (our state affiliation) still requires individual physicals to be completed within the last 13 months before being allowed to participate in athletics.There are three forms that need to be completed. Providence Day’s Director of Athletics Nancy Beatty announced today the hiring of Adam Carmen as the new program head and varsity head coach of the Charger volleyball program. Coach Carmen replaces current head coach Emily Carrara who will remain with the program as the Middle School head coach.
