Flik Independent School Dining (FISD) became a part of the Charger community in 2004. FISD is a family-style, foodservice company that strives to provide healthy, nutritious menus to school children and their communities. It is their mission to deliver quality foodservice every time by creating menus that are made from responsible and sustainable products. FISD’s moto is “Nourishing a Brighter Future” and that is their promise to this community.
Flik at Providence Day is certified as a Green Restaurant by the Green Restaurant Association and in May of 2018 earned the prestigious title of a Center for Excellence. This award has only been awarded to 32 accounts in the Compass Group family that consists of over 1,200 units.
Flik serves breakfast, morning break, and lunch in the dining hall. Students TK-2nd grade have their own service line where the Flik associate is down lower, so the student and the associate are on the same level in hopes to empower the young community. 3rd -12th graders have six destinations to choose from offering a variety of different cuisine. Whether it’s pizza/pasta, southern home cooking, made-to-order sandwiches, or create-your-own salad the community will always have plenty of options to eat. The newest addition to the dining options is the Celebrity Chef Jet Tila East/West Station. At this station you can find cuisine from all over Asia.
Flik at Providence Day has the luxury of a Management staff with over 40 years of industry experience and a Dining Hall staff that loves what they do and will welcome every community member with a smile on their face.
