Providence Day’s global network of more than 4,000 alumni are the foundation of our school community. We prepare and develop our students for life after graduation, and form Charger connections that last a lifetime. Our Young Alumni provide a valued network to assist Upper School students in making their own college decisions.

Alumni parents also maintain vibrant connections to the PD community, with invitations to special events and keeping up to date via our #AlwaysACharger newsletters and the Providence Day Magazine.

All graduates and former students of PD are considered members of the Alumni Association, and all alumni parents automatically receive access to the Alumni Parent portal.

The Alumni Association is committed to supporting the mission and success of PD and is represented by the Board of Alumni, a group representing all decades of graduates.

Alex Heintze '15 Embraces his Global Studies Diploma with the Schwarzman Scholars Program

When Alex Heintze’s parents enrolled him at Providence Day School as a TK student in Vicky Hovis’s class, they had high hopes for his success as a student, but probably never imagined the extent to which he would embrace global learning as an adult. “I had a phenomenal experience at PD and it shaped a lot of who I am today, how I think, and a lot of the choices that I’ve made,” says Heintze, who has done just that and more in the six years since he walked the stage at Commencement.

A New Beginning

Providence Day School welcomes new students to all three divisions each year, though rarely two months into the academic year. Harper Seldin ’07 took it all in stride when his family relocated to Charlotte from Massachusetts in 2004 during his sophomore year.
