Providence Day School attracts curious learners who take an active role in their educational journey and make a difference in our school community. In order to ensure a good match between the student and the school, we consider:

  • Academic aptitude and achievement 
  • Records from previous school(s) (TK-K)
  • Transcript of grades from previous schools (Grades 1-12)
  • Teacher recommendations
  • Extracurricular activities (Grades 1-12)
  • Social-emotional maturity, initiative, and responsibility

Note: International students from China requiring an I-20 must complete the admissions process via our partners at TBI-New Oasis. All other Upper School international students seeking admission should follow the procedures for grades 9-12 and include TOEFL scores in addition to the ISEE exam scores.

TK-K Application Information

Submission of the application form for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten is December 31 for first round consideration. Teacher recommendations are due by January 15. All other supporting materials and assessments are due by February 1.
 

First-round decisions are released at 4:00 p.m. on February 23. Applications submitted after the deadline are reviewed on a rolling basis for any remaining positions at each grade level.

Required Supporting Materials and Assessments:

  • Preschool Teacher Recommendation Form 

  • Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence - Fourth Addition (WPPSI-IV)
    *Applicants must be at least 4 years old at the time of assessment administration

  • TK/K School Readiness Screening
    *Application MUST be submitted prior to scheduling the Readiness Screening

Grades 1-5 Application Information

Submission of the Application Form for Grades 1-5 is due by January 15 for first round consideration. Supporting materials and assessments are due by February 23.

Rising Grade 1

  • Teacher Information Form
  • PD Teacher Evaluation
  • Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence - Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV)

Rising Grades 2-5

  • Teacher Recommendation Form

  • Transcript Release Form (first semester or second quarter grades should be included)

  • Day Visit and Teacher Evaluation

  • Grades 2-4: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)

  • Grade 5: Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE)

2024-2025 APPLICATION

Grades 6-12 Application Information

Submission of the Application Form for Grades 6-12 is due by January 15 for first round consideration. Supporting materials and assessments are due by February 23.

First-round decisions are offered March 28. Applications are then reviewed on a continuing basis for any remaining positions at each grade level.

  • Student and Parent Interviews

  • Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE)
