IDEAS at PD - Providence Day School

Ideas@PD offers students the chance to explore and expand their passions and curiosities around innovation, design, entrepreneurship, analytics, and sustainability. This unique program invites faculty and students to work across boundaries and at the intersections of traditional disciplines and departments. The learning arising from these courses always aims at applied, collaborative problem solving. Along with this new curriculum is the IDEASXchange@PD, a new space in the Dickson-Hemby Technology Center.

Lower School

The Tech Tank
All classes of students in grades K-5 learn about IDEAS@PD principles through hands-on opportunities. Skills taught include, but are not limited to, navigating digital tools; computer usage; digital citizenship; and computational thinking.
IDEAS@PD Lab: This elective for 5th graders introduces them to collaborative problem-solving and other IDEAS principles in the IDEAS Xchange space.
