Summer at Providence Day completed its 26th season on August 6, 2021, offering nine weeks of camps serving 3,314 campers in a summer to remember. “It was wonderful seeing so many happy campers on campus, and we appreciate the trust families put in us to keep their children safe this summer,” said Director of Summer Programs Diane Sutton.
Camp Chargers catered to sports lovers, PD Academy offered fully accredited academic programs for Middle and Upper School students, and Specialty Camps allowed students to focus on an area of interest from baking to coding. In its first year, Camp Spirit included 191 campers in a new Summer at PD experience offering full-day fun that welcomed kids to explore their interests and develop classic camp friendships.
Out of the 142 camps offered, 28% reached full capacity and required waiting lists. Camp teachers included many well-loved Providence Day School faculty members as well as trusted camp partners, and the 180+ camp employees served 465 PD families along with hundreds of non-PD families.
