Hundreds of parents, students, faculty, staff, and visitors packed the campus on Saturday for the Parents' Association's Fall Fest event.
With 750 tickets sold and estimated attendance of 1,500+, attendees enjoyed learning about new environmental sustainability initiatives; trying their hand at cornhole and sports clinics; enjoying activities including henna painting and pumpkin decorating; and shopping a marketplace of PD vendors.
The IDEAS@PD (innovation, design, entrepreneurship, analytics, and sustainability) program was on display, with a record 30 student entrepreneurs selling their wares ranging from jewelry, knife sharpening, and wood carving to sweet treats. The entrepreneurs drew media coverage from local outlets WCNC and WSOC.
