"Drive for Drives" Helping to End the Digital Divide in Charlotte

From November 2 through 24, the Providence Day School Parents' Association is asking the community to “Drive for Drives” to help end the digital divide for low-income students throughout Charlotte. In partnership with the Hendrick Luxury Group and E2D, a non-profit organization, laptops and tablets will be wiped clean, refurbished, and given to one of the 60,000 students in Charlotte who live at or below the federal poverty line and do not have a home computer.

Anyone in the community is asked to donate unwanted personal or business laptops and tablets to our collection drive. Whether you are a family with one extra laptop or tablet that isn’t being used or part of a corporation with dozens of laptops ready to be decommissioned, you can feel proud knowing that you are making a significant difference in the life of a student.

Please click on the appropriate link below for further details on how to participate.

I am an individual with a personal laptop or tablet

I am a business or an advocate to a business for laptop donations.

I am not ready to donate in November but will be in the future.
