For one group of young Providence Day alumni, a Middle School class project has led to a business partnership that has the potential to someday transform how our country detects and fights wildfires.
Shawn Smith ’88 has kept his #AlwaysACharger spirit alive.
During a school year like none other, PD’s faculty created a world-class learning environment for students on and off campus. Matt Scully, PD’s Director of Digital Integration and Innovation, completes his 22nd year at the school in 2021, and shares what innovation means at PD.
Dr. James Edge joined Providence Day as a long-term substitute and is now a faculty member teaching a variety of courses, including Social Entrepreneurship. In August 2020, he surprised his students with a guest video featuring Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks and lead investor on the ABC show “Shark Tank,” which focuses on entrepreneurs. He has been named to PD's newly created position of Social Entrepreneurship Coordinator for the 2021-22 school year.
