Providence Day School is Hosting National Association of Independent Schools “Strategy Lab”

This week, representatives of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Innovation Team and eight member schools from across the eastern United States are convening in “The Curve” on the fourth floor of Providence Day School’s Academic Center. As well as hosting the event, PDS has its own team involved led by Head of School Dr. Glyn Cowlishaw.

The Strategy Lab is a three-day intensive workshop aimed at helping independent schools launch innovative ideas. The Strategy Lab marks the extension of a multi-year relationship between Providence Day and NAIS spearheaded by Derrick Willard, Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs. Read more about this innovation work on his blog.

Two years ago, a team from PDS was a part of a group of schools helping NAIS test the idea at previous event known as the “Innovation Kitchen.”  Since that time, PDS has launched its own Center for the Art and Science of Teaching, Learning, and Entrepreneurship (CASTLE) to foster innovation on campus.
