Two Middle School advisee groups led by Providence Day School teachers Jim Cerbie and Josh Springer are making paracord bracelets for the military through Operation Gratitude.
Once the paracord bracelets are complete, they will be mailed to the Paracord Bracelet Program in Chatsworth, California. Students add a personal note which will be mailed with each bracelet that is sent to U.S. troops.
These bracelets can be used by the military personnel for various needs due to the parachute cord’s strength and versatility. Operation Gratitude’s goal is to provide one paracord “survival” bracelet in each care package for deployed troops, new recruits, and first responder care kits. The paracord bracelets provide 7.5 ft. of cord that can be used in a variety of ways in an emergency.
