Providence Day School student Ethan Paulk ’21 was awarded the Gold Key Scholastic Art & Writing Award in the Short Story category for "How to Make Authentic Southern Cornbread."
Gold Key awards go to the very best works submitted to local programs and are automatically considered for national-level recognition. These winners will have their work adjudicated by creative professionals in New York. He and other Scholastic Mid-Carolina Region Gold Key Award winners will be recognized at a ceremony at the McGlohon Theatre on February 8.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards mission is to: "Identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships."
